This is definitely a happy frog - check out the smile!
Made of white or pot metal and painted green and black with brown lily pads. Some paint missing with the white metal showing through. Easily touched up, if the buyer chooses. But I think of the scuffs as part of his "personality."
Mr. Frog might have had many uses, but I have used him to keep track of a pen or pencil on my over crowded desk.
Each bag is silk screened (so there will be tiny differences depending on the inking process).
25 bags in unused condition.
Measurements: 3 3/8" long x 2 1/4" wide 5/8" depth
I am not certain if this is a Hubley piece, although I think so. I am certain that it is made of cast iron and marked with #12.
Without repairs or damage other than the chipping consistent with use.
The miniature painting shows a Dutch style windmill within green fields. ** Notice the tiny windmill weight!
Because of the paint, I would suggest this piece be used indoors - a bedroom? or guest bathroom?
Measurements: 3 1/4" exterior diameter; 2 3/8" interior diameter x 3/8" depth
These two little dishes have identical designs, but are enameled in different palettes.
Looking at the back of the dishes, one can see the design outline impressed into the copper metal. I believe this is called champleve.
In very good condition with only one tiny ding to the blue surround.
I would use these pieces as dresser trays for earrings or hair clips...
Marked "Sterling" on the body of the knife.
Each blade is marked with the double stick figure emblem and the words: J.A. Henkels Germany.
In good condition overall with what might have been a repair to the niello at the end with the knife blade. Also, the blade has been sharpened so often that the original length has been shortened.
Very beautifully crafted and still very usable.
