Measurements: TALL: 4" - oval BASE: 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"
English porcelain. The original company began in the early 1700's. Lovely detail and design.
Good condition and still usable.
Measurements: 4" diameter x 2" height
Delicate pin rose color with white leafy vine trim set into a shallow scalloped edge bowl.
No damages or repairs.
Perfect for anyone who loves pink - particularly to hold a special Valentine's Day gift.
Measurements: 3" tall on an oval base: 2" x 1 3/8"
Beautifully hand painted (no painting on the interior).
The female bust suggests a 1920's Flapper Girl with serious attitude! But this is just my perception.
With the traditional bronze trim at the join of the two parts of the box.
The bottom of the box shows the decorator's initials M C and the words "Peint Main" as well as the genuine "Limoges, France" mark.
I date the box to the 1950's according to the estate from which it was p...
Measurements: 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/2" diameter cup opening.
The base is stamped England and.....
The pottery is glazed with an opaque maroon glaze.
Strange comic character faces.
No chips, cracks or hairlines.
oops! The egg I used as display is smaller than a standard sized egg.
6.25" x 2.75" x .75" deep.
In good condition for its age with only minor wear to the black rim edge surrounding the hand painted river scene. The scene is painted in a soft gold, orange, green, brown palette. The bottom of the pin tray also shows wear consistent with age. No cracks, chips, flakes or hairlines.
This is the type of dish my grandmother used for her hair pins which is why I named it a pin tray. There may be a more traditional usage, but I don't know it...
9" tall; 6.5" x 4.5" at the widest points with the rectangular base measuring: 4.5" x 2.5"
This is one adorable figural bank - marked with the French word "DEPOSE." Judging from the wooden shoes, she appears to be an apple cheeked Dutch girl on market day.
The bank is without cracks or repairs, but does have one corner in the back with a 1/8" chip missing. Also, small flakes of paint are missing - not enough to detract from the overall appearance...
Measurements: 6 1/2" tall x 3" diameter base modeled F.G. Doughty
Showing a young boy playing either a harmonica or ocarina sitting with his dog's head on his knee. Altogether charming.
Excellent condition; with unfaded pastel colors.
No repairs, chips or hairlines.
Note******** Being sold with a second figure: "May 3455" which has been repaired at the neck.
Measurements: 5" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" height
No chips, cracks or repairs. The only obvious flaw is to the green leaf glaze at the top of each leaf vein allowing the white of the underglaze to show through. I have priced the pair accordingly - although I consider the wear to be not a flaw, but part of the charm of owning vintage pottery.
A beautiful addition to any dinner table - particularly at the time of autumn harvest.
Measurements: 9" diameter x 3" depth x 4" base diameter
In excellent, undamaged condition with a subtle blue/purple crystalline glaze exterior and a lighter blue/purple swirled with yellow.
Measurements: 5/8" deep 5" diameter
Produced specifically for the American market from 1922 to 1968. Without chips, hairlines, or other damage.
Clear, unfaded color and pattern.
I don't find this pattern very often.
One more 5" dish available in this pattern. Please ask.
Measurements: 3 3/4" diameter, 6" wide handle to handle, 2" tall
No damages other than a tiny glaze chip at the edge of one of the handles and a glaze "miss" which occurred during the original firing process - located above the "Q" inside the bowl.
All of the mustard and green colored decoration is applied slip ware or moriage - very three dimensional.
A nice early piece of French Quimper.
