As the photographs show, the beads are strung on coiled "memory" wire. This construction allows the necklace to adjust to fit almost any size neck comfortably without pinching.

This belt was purchased from an estate whose owner traveled extensively in the 1950's - 1970's, during which time she purchased a number of Navajo pieces.
The 11 medallions on the belt are of sand cast silver (tested and guaranteed) centered with round cabochons of turquoise colored glass...
