This lighting fixture is Art Deco (not a repro) meant to be hung over a table. A "silver bowl" bulb is used with this type of fixture to spread the light without glaring into anyone's eyes. This type of bulb is currently available.

The fixture was made in two parts...

Measurements:

13" base to top of the brass cap; base diameter: 5.5" with a 10" harp (which is easily changed.

Note that the lamp has been rewired with fabric wound cord and that the base has been replaced. The original base was also Chinese style, but was badly damaged.

The colors (warmer than shown in the photos) are a pale yellow - almost custard - background with light green dogwood flowers and light brown branches...
