19th century Italian Venetian blown glass "master" salt dishes (larger than individual salt dishes) with the characteristic rough pontil on the base of each.

This is a form I have been unable to identify definitely. The consensus for a "best guess" is pen wipe although it might also have been used to wax sewing needle points.
In perfect condition with lovely swirled green/white agate design including tiny traces of oxblood color.
The material in the center might be hardened wax.

Dated 1928 Paris
Beveled crystals (4) with a hinged lid also of beveled crystal which has been reverse painted showing a scene of Paris with mother of pearl detail "lighting" the windows. All crystals are set into bezels of crenelated brass.
Interior is lined with a tiny, tufted pink satin pillow.
