The style is Greco/Roman dating to 1880-1920.

Metals: steel "arms" with solid brass ball and cast iron center support. The metals are solid; not plated, and have been lacquered to preserve surface finish.

Graceful, sculptural form in the best of Art Deco design.

More than one hundred years have passed since this miniature 5 drawer stand was created using the tartan plaid of Clan Murray. Though there is some evidence of wear, consistent with age and usage, the stand is as useable today as it once was. The drawers move smoothly, the body of the stand is solid.
The age wear seen on the stand is a bit of separation of the paper at its seams. (see photo #4)...

This chalice form is hand hammered with applied top and base rings. The top edge is decorated with square and round repousse plaques which have been enameled (some enamel "as is"); the round plaques are centered by semi precious stones: moonstone, opal and mother of pearl.
