Each charm is also "scrimshawed" showing intricate line detail. The detail lines are colored in navy ink; except for the megaphone which has red detail.

The closure is a celluloid toggle - very secure and unusual.

The various charms show the football equipment in use in the very early 1900's.

Early football, using this type of equipment, was a rough and seriously rowdy game.
