The carved amber beads are both round and barrel shaped and have recently been restrung.

As the carving is machine made rather than hand carved, I am dating the necklace to the early part of the 20th century.

An interesting design incorporating both translucent and "butterscotch" Baltic amber in a very pleasing pattern.
