Measurements: 1 5/8" diameter x 7/8" from the metal base to the top of the domed crystal
The metal of this working tape measure is gold plated base metal which was lacquered. Some of the lacquer has worn away showing the bright gilt original surface. I have not tried to remove the lacquer or polished the metal. The tape measure was photographed unpolished.
The convex dome set into the top of the measure is either glass or crystal and was "reverse" painted as a tall bouquet of roses bound with a pink ribbon. The colors remain bright. The pink roses best show the detail of each rose.
The side view of the dome is best for seeing the three dimensional depth of the bouquet - approx. 1/2".
No damages or repairs other that the edges of the cloth tape have begun to fray a bit. The tape is all there and the numbers, etc. are clearly legible.
Smoothly working push button return.
