This lighting fixture is Art Deco (not a repro) meant to be hung over a table. A "silver bowl" bulb is used with this type of fixture to spread the light without glaring into anyone's eyes. This type of bulb is currently available.

The fixture was made in two parts. The inner liner is made of pressed steel (the pressed design echoes the design of the outer shell) which was then enameled a satin black. The outer shell is also steel which was then brass plated. The cap is also brass plated.

No damages. Some wear to the plating which disappears visually when the outer shell is polished. As always, the fixture was photographed unpolished.

The design of the fixture is a combination of leaves, flowers and two types of deco lattice. I have seen similar designs in the public areas of Rockefeller Center, NYC.
