Measurements: 9 1/2" tall x 6" greatest width x 3" from the back of the head to the tip of the nose - ARMS: 4 1/2" long - LEGS: 3 7/8" long
I have been told that the bear is either a Farnell or a Hermann made in the 1920's. You will have to decide from the photos, as I am not a bear expert.
Original felt pads with embroidered black claws on the four paws..
The nose and mouth are also hand stitched with black thread.
The eyes are glass.
While the fur is blond mohair, the red gold fabric shows through creating an almost cinnamon color when viewed at a distance.
All joints move smoothly.
While the seams of the bear run down the back and front at the middle; the seams of the face are split into a "Y" shape beginning under the chin and ending at the base of each ear.
The back hump is clearly visible.
Any additions or corrections from bear collectors would be most appreciated!
