This fierce jungle cat is one of the best modernist costume designs I've seen in a good while: very three dimensional form with strong detail - a true statement piece. Yet, at one ounce, the brooch is easy to wear without damaging most fabrics.

The construction is two part: flat back soldered to the repousse top.

I believe that the metal is chromed brass. The nose, ear tips and other high points show the bright brass underneath.
