Risaburo Kimura was born in Yokusaka in Japan in 1929. He studied education and philosophy at the universities at Yokohama and Tokyo. In the 1960s he moved to New York and became an internationally recognized artist.
His works are in all major art museums of the world like Guggenheim and Moma in New York, Kyoto City Hall, Cincinnati Art Museum, Philadelphia Art Museum and a few more.
This image is one of his intricately detailed serigraphs (silk screen) which was produced in a limited edition of 200. This is #8 and is signed in pencil with the artist's name and the date.
