Measuring 8 3/4" long This is a hand carved bone dip pen - probably a souvenier of the Grand Tour of Europe so popular with Americans in the late 1800's. It is in very good condition, with a steel nib. The decoration is a full color lithographed transfer of the Arc du Triomphe. The Stanhope is a wonderful 9 photo montage of the various points of interest in and around Paris before the turn of the last century. |
