If you aren't familiar with the Palmer Method, you were probably born after 1950. There was a time, back in the dark ages, when PENMANSHIP was taught in all of the primary grades. Having a beautiful (and legible) "hand" was almost as important as the 3R's. Handwriting was a skill that was taught and the Palmer Method was the most popular program taught.

For those of you who might remember, here are two of the most common Palmer teacher instructions: "Use your elbow, not just your wrist." "Circle, circle, circle." *****I was just told that the Palmer Method was still in use into the 1960's!
