Set with four pieces of green art glass to resemble jade, alternating with Egyptian motifs. The central oval piece is flanked by applied openwork lotus blossoms; the sides exhibit applied elongated elements, possibly symbolizing the eye of Ra. The bracelet is probably American and is marked sterling. The glass stones show signs of wear; the smaller ones have lost their polish and the largest one is quite scratched. None show any signs of cracking or instability in their bezel mountings...

A continuous sterling silver cable chain; it has a working swivel clasp marked sterling. The chain itself tests for sterling as well, and is sturdily made. It measures 14 ½ inches long, doubled. Weight: 29.3 grams

A delicate sterling silver bracelet of lavender cloisonné enamel panels enhanced with rhinestones, alternating with square-mounted rhinestones. The edges of the panels are textured to give the feel of milligraining. The bracelet is well made, with scrolled details in the enamel work, and securely soldered connecting links. It has a good heft, despite its delicate appearance, and an original spring-ring clasp in good working order. It is marked sterling on the back...

Decorated with turquoise tour a guilloche enamel work, with round white enamel accents around the perimeter. The enamel is in excellent condition, save for two tiny dark spots on two of the round white decorations. It is marked sterling on the back and features a secure C-clasp. The shade of the enamel appears to vary in the photo, but it actually is the same consistent, vivid turquoise throughout the pin...

A charming souvenir ring produced by Gorham for the St. Louis Exposition of 1904. It has retained most of its detail, and commemorates the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. The front depicts the head of Thomas Jefferson, who was president at the time of the Purchase. Inside the ring band is the combined Gorham mark, patent date of 1903, the official souvenir stamp, and ‘sterling’; the entire combined mark is stamped and raised...

A lovely decoration of pink roses and green leaves on a deep teal blue guilloche background. The bracelet is marked sterling on the inside of each half; there is rich geometric engraving at the hinge and clasp areas. The enamel is entirely intact, with no obvious signs of wear, and the silver has a nice, warm patina. The clasp is in good working condition and is very secure...

This American sterling silver and enamel cross with a scrolled-edge is conservatively dated; it could be older. The chain is original and made of flattened, rectangular links; there is no clasp. It tests definitively for silver. The vibrant green enamel decoration on the cross is intact, and bears the usual minor flaws of handwork. The cross itself is quite sturdy, and nicely molded, though there are two casting flaws at the lower right (see photo #6)...

This piece of early 20th-century costume jewelry is as graceful and delicate as the gold and platinum ones that inspired it. The circular and scrolled silver frame is embossed and set with rhinestones of various sizes, with two larger rhinestones in bezel-mounted drops. All the rhinestones are intact; the surface finish of the frame is oxidized for a darker look, probably to more dramatically set off the rhinestones...

This sterling silver bangle bracelet is beautifully decorated with deeply chased scroll work. It is of hollow construction and shaped in an oval so it can be easily slipped on the wrist. It bears the mark of Carter, Howe & Co., of Newark, NJ. Other than a small dent on the interior, the bracelet is in lovely condition. The opening measures about 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches, with an interior circumference of about 7 1/4 inches. The bracelet is a little over 1/4 inch thick. Weight: 12.6 grams

This eight-sided silver bangle is of hollow construction and decorated with repoussé roses and sheaves of wheat. The design is enhanced with deep patination. It has a secure tongue-and-groove clasp, as well as original safety chain. The clasp release is a small knob decorated with a rosebud. There are two hallmarks on the tongue that are hard to make out, but they appear to be European...
