The dramatic focus of this 1970s necklace is a pendant of applied molten sterling silver on a trapezoidal frame. It is set with small jade and onyx cabochons, as well as one moonstone bead. It is suspended from a handmade sterling neckring with a hook and button clasp. The pendant and neckring are marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark. The pendant measures 2 ¼ inches by 1 3/8 inches; the neckring measures about 18 inches around. Gross weight: approximately 52.5 grams

This unusual sterling silver ring features a curved disc with applied molten strands of silver forming an organic dome. The inside of the disc exhibits a volcanic finish. The band is sturdy, and bears possibly a Danish mark of 925S, as well as an unidentified maker’s mark. The ring is a size 7. It measures 1 inch long, 1 inch wide, and about 1 1/8 inches high. This sterling silver pendant has an arts and crafts feel. It features a central polished turquoise marbled with matrix that appears to be quite stable. It has an angular starburst design with a wide bail that bears a 925 mark as well as Hebrew markings. The .835 silver chain is not original to the piece, but is of the period. This sterling silver ring features a ‘taco’-like folded design with a zigzag band inside sitting on its edge. The inside of the folded piece has been deeply oxidized with a translucent finish. The ring exhibits various kinds of tool marks. The ring is possibly Norwegian, with a mark of 925S inside the band; there are also maker’s initials of JPC, possibly for Danish silversmith Jens Peter Clausen of Copenhagen (1973-1981). With their centers of crossed silver wire, these 1920s cuff links have the look of stitched buttons. They feature mother-of-pearl discs with black enamel dotted borders. They bear European silver marks on the back, and though they are hard to make out, they likely indicate .800 silver. Each button measures ½ inch in diameter; they have sturdy bridge chains. Composed of geometrical open panels, this sterling silver bracelet is studded with tiny pieces of marcasite. It features a secure tongue and groove clasp and a sterling safety chain. There are seven marcasites missing, but it’s hard to tell without magnification because they are so small. The back of the clasp is marked sterling; there is also a sterling mark on the back of one panel along with a partial, unidentified maker’s mark. The bracelet opens to 3 1/2 inches across with the safety chain attached; it measures 8 1/2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. The bracelet dates at least from the 1950s, and could be older. This .830 silver bracelet is made of five delicate, decorative chains that hang comfortably around the wrist. It is secured by a tongue-and-groove clasp that bears an unidentified maker’s mark of M.S. with a triangular mark, as well as the mark 830 S, possibly for Norway. The bracelet measures about 7 inches long and ¾ inch wide. Weight: 17.4 grams

This ornate sterling silver disk pin, by Norwegian maker Ivar T. Holth, is gilded and features an intricate wirework design. It is applied to a scalloped disk of white guilloched enamel and dates from the 1960s-1970s. It appears to have been hardly worn, with a light tarnishing of the gilt that can be addressed with a cloth cleaning. There is a secure rollover clasp on the back as well as the marks for Norway, Holth and sterling. It measures 1 ¾ inches in diameter, and has a nice heft at 22.2 grams. Please note that the white enamel is actually a much brighter white than shown in the photos.

This delicate link bracelet features four oval cabochons, each prong-set in a decorative sterling frame. Sterling openwork panels, each set with a single marcasite, connect the frames. The ornate settings give the piece a more formal feel than Deco; possibly this dates later, perhaps the 1950s. The spring-ring clasp is secure, and is marked sterling; one of the connecting panels is also marked sterling on the back. The bracelet measures about 7¼ inches long by about 5/8 inch wide.

This lovely pair of art deco cuff links has a formal look, the result of a black mother-of-pearl background. Each eight-sided button is framed by an embossed white metal rim; the centers are set with tiny faux seed pearls. The backs and bridges are gilded, and bear the block-letter mark for Krementz, of Newark, NJ. Each button measures 1/2 inch wide.

These double-sided sterling silver cuff links feature bold embossed floral edges around elongated buttons. They are late 19th century and well constructed with securely soldered bridge links, which are marked sterling. They are most likely American. Each side measures a little over 3/4 inch long by 3/16 inch at the widest part. Weight: 4.6 grams total

This handsome modernist style sterling silver ring features a dome with an open, ribbed patterns that run both the width and length. It is marked sterling with the maker’s initials of JAD. The dome rises about 1/2 inch from the finger. The ring is sized about 4 1/4. Weight: 7.2 grams

This sterling silver necklace is composed of curved panels with recessed areas that divide each panel into three sections. The middle section remains silver; the outer sections have a copper and brass plating. The necklace is nicely made, with soldered links and a secure tongue–and-groove clasp. These early 20th-century classic two-sided cuff links feature very fine and detailed engraving on the centers with edges of heavily embossed decoration. There is a 14K mark on the back of one of the buttons. The bridge links are very secure and nicely molded. Each button measures about 3/4 inch long by 1/2 inch wide. Weight: 5.1 grams.

A thoughtful design with a sense of movement distinguishes this sterling ring, set with what is likely a tourmaline cabochon. The band is composed of two strands of hammered silver that gracefully curl around the finger. The strands also curl around the bezel mounting, which holds the untreated sugarloaf-shape stone. It is marked sterling. The stone and mounting rise to just under 1/4 inch; the ring is sized at a 6 scant.

This sterling silver bangle features a sophisticated geometrical design of conical elements. The distinctive design and quality workmanship allows the bangle to stand on its own as well as be worn with other bracelets. It bears the post-1980 mark of MM34 for Los Ballesteros, on an applied plaque inside the bracelet. This Georg Jensen circle pin features a deeply molded twisted rope design that continues all the way around. The design is enhanced with simple, scored rectangular elements at the halfway points. The secure rollover clasp is also sterling and original to the pin. The back is marked with the Jensen and sterling marks, the design number of 254, and Denmark. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Weight: 9.7 grams

The top of this sterling silver modernist ring appears to be made of hand-cast drip-like elements that are incised and polished. It is attached to the flattened band on a short pedestal so that the top rises about 3/16 of an inch about the band. The inside of the band is marked Handmade Sterling and bears the impressed mark of G:son Liedholm, which may indicate Magnus Liedholm, a Swedish maker. The ring is sized at 7 1/4. Weight: 9.6 grams
