An unusual and large necklace by Finnish maker Aarikaa, composed of wooden beads dyed in shades of iridescent brown and green. The drop features large, 23mm beads with decorated with 8mm beads; the necklace portion is composed of 15mm beads. They are connected by wires with ring terminals. There is a hook clasp and metal tag with the mark of Aarikka/Made in Finland. The necklace measures 17 1/4 inches long when clasped, including the drop.

Composed of wood beads that are dyed red, wire-mounted on a pewter bar and from chain swags. Unfortunately, the photos show the red as a fire-engine red; the beads actually are darker, more of a maroon. Photo 3 is the closest to the actual color. It is a sizeable brooch, but lightweight, and secured on the back by a modified C-clasp. It is signed Aarikka Finland on the back of the pewter bar, which has been highly oxidized. The chains appear to be made of darkened brass...

Featuring a bisected design of white and black with a curvilinear top. The ring shows very few signs of wear save for some faint surface scratches. The top measures 1 ¼ inches long by 1 inch wide. The ring is a size 6 ½ scant.

Composed of molded layers of white and black stripes, the white top shows some tiny imperfections from the molding process and slight scratching that is hard to see. The ring platform rises a little over ½ inch from the finger; it measures 1 ¼ inches long by 1 inch wide and is sized a 6 1/4 scant.

This lovely hinged bangle is set with a faceted glass citrine, flanked by applied cast flowers, leaves and Egyptian and art nouveau motifs. The band is hollow with a hidden clasp and hinge, both in excellent condition. The glass shows a few scratches, mostly from the underside. It is a well-crafted piece. The inner band bears the mark of W. & S. Blackinton, of North Attleboro, MA. The bracelet measures about 7 inches around the inside.

Teardrop-shaped copper earrings with a recessed area of anodized copper. This is a rendition of Renoir’s ‘Honey Bear’ design (see matching necklace at J602). The clip backs are in good working order and quite secure. The copper finish is bright, with minor scratches. Each earring measures ¾ inch wide by 1 ¼ inches long.

Placed between two bars of marcasite set in white metal, the rectangular faceted crystal is carved from the back with a delicate scrolled design. The entire decoration is attached to a panel of frosted glass. The silver bail is modern. This pendant most likely would have been originally suspended from a silk cord. It measures 2 ½ inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide. All the marcasite is intact.

Composed of three thick strands of rope-like white metal chain, braided into one continuous strand. Very dramatic look, and the necklace is surprisingly comfortable to wear, considering its heft. It measures 1 inch wide, with a circumference of about 2 ½ inches; the necklace drops about 15 inches when worn.

Delicate earrings with lovely amber circular tops and tear drop pendants. Stones are highly polished and exhibit an inner world of mineral and plant particles, especially when the drops are exposed to light. They measure about 1 ¾ inches from top to bottom; the widest area measures ½ inch. They bear their original clip backs that are marked only MET, indicating a non-precious white metal. They are probably European.

This interesting piece of Coro costume jewelry is made of sturdy white metal, featuring pre-Columbian motifs. The double chain exhibits a scored design and a secure spring-ring clasp. The pendant measures 2 3/8 inches long by 2 1/8 inches at the widest area. The entire necklace drops 14 ¼ inches.

Fashioned for a small wrist, this bracelet is composed of thick, dark gray agate half-discs that are connected by ridged silver rivets. While it is Victorian in feel, it is most likely later; the hinged and rounded links are reminiscent of machine-age work. Also, the clasp has a definite arts and crafts style, and the box part of the clasp is marked sterling on the back. It looks to have had a safety chain.The bracelet measures 6 inches long by 5/8 inch wide.

Probably Czech, this necklace features three lapis-blue glass panels molded with embossed Asian designs, attached to a yellow metal flexible, snake-like chain. It has a secure spring-ring clasp and features ornate openwork caps attached to both ends of each piece of glass. The necklace measures around 16 inches long; the center glass panel measures 1 1/8 inches long by 3/4 inch wide.
