A studio piece, of a geometric lattice-like design set with a dyed blue chalcedony in a secure bezel mounting. The spring-ring clasp is secure and marked 925 for sterling; the oblong panels links by chain also test strongly as silver. The necklace measures 18 inches long, with a 3-inch-long center drop. A charming design, nicely molded and enhanced with oxidation. The eyes are composed of turquoise enamel. The rollover clasp is very secure. The pin is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling silver. It measures 1 ½ inches long by 1 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 11.6 grams

Formed from molten silver, mounted with a disc picturing a classical woman’s profile. The ring has a dramatic, primitive look. The ring is unmarked, but the ring and the disc test strongly for silver. The top measures about 1 inch wide. It is sized to 11 ½. Weight: 40.4 grams

Composed of various-sized, linked rectangular hammered panels. The secure closure comprises a folded panel that nicely hooks into an opening on the other end. There are partially obscured marks for sterling as well as the maker, which appears to be a script L with a copyright. The bracelet measures 7 1/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Nicely ridged with a dark patina, a particularly graceful piece in this series by North Carolina silversmith Stuart Nye. The Nye and sterling marks on the back are partially worn off, as is a patent number. The rollover clasp is secure and is of a vintage design original to the piece, which is highly tarnished. The pin measures 2 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches. Weight: 6.1 grams

Composed of gilded sterling filigree, the pin exhibits a gilded rollover clasp of good quality, probably added to replace a C-clasp but contemporary to the period. The stone shows no wear or scratching; one band of filigree is highly oxidized, possibly for contrast. The pin measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 ½ inches wide.

An abstract design, the pendant is set with what appears to be blue indicolite, which is a type of tourmaline, or blue jade. It is marked sterling on the reverse. The chain is composed of linked sterling edged rods, and is marked Italy and sterling on the flattened jump ring. One rod is slightly bent. The entire clasped necklace measures 18 inches long; the pendant is 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide.

Of modernist design, both cast and hand-forged and composed of two flat sides terminating in hollowed ends, one with a protruding side. The tongue-and-groove clasp is in good working order. The bracelet exhibits some signs of wear, such as scratches and tiny dings to the edges. The very tip of the protrusion has a tiny dent. There are two different marks on the outer side (one is struck twice) that look to be foreign but are unidentified...

Known as the ‘caviar’ design, it is composed of linked domed beads and has a smooth, undulant movement and a good heft. The tongue-and-groove clasp is in excellent working condition and bears the Spratling mark for 1944-1946. The surface exhibits a nice, soft patina from age. The bracelet measures 8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 55.7 grams

The necklace is composed of beaded rings interspersed with eight suspended cast right hands. The earrings, also formed as hands, have working screw backs. Both bear the Los Castillo circular mark and are marked sterling; they also have the design number of 714. The necklace measures 15 ¼ inches long; the hands drop by 1 ½ inches. It weighs 80.8 grams. The earrings measure 1 ¾ inches long and weigh 18.2 grams total.

Designed with multiple thin wire hoops suspended from a curved, shell-like top. When worn, the shells are seen from the side; the full hoops are visible from the front. They exhibit a soft patina, with some wayward dark spots and beads of solder where each hoop has been closed. The screw backs are in good working order; they are marked with the AE enclosed by a heart-shaped M. Each earring measures 2 1/8 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. Weight: 18.9 grams

Composed of cast rectangular double links, with soldered connecting bars. The bracelet has a good heft and a secure, clever clasp with a pressure spring closure. The bracelet is marked for sterling, with a partial mark of ITALY and a double-struck partial sterling mark. The bracelet measures 7 ¾ inches long and a little over ¼ inch wide. Weight: 29.6 grams
