The top is formed as a folded leaf, applied to a ribbed band, enameled in blue and turquoise. The inner band is marked with the maker’s mark of Josie, along with marks for sterling and a number, possibly 10.54. There is also another mark that resembles concentric circles and that could represent a copyright mark. The leaf part of the ring measures 1 ½ inches long by about 5/8 inch at its widest area. The ring is a size 6 scant. Weight: 8.8 grams

Composed of molten sterling silver wire with a patinated and lacquered finish. The back bears a sturdy bale and the mark of Uni David-Andersen. The pendant measures 1 ¾ inches by 1 3/8 inches. Weight: 11.4 grams

Cast bracelet of white metal or pewter, each panel formed as a bird in the manner of pre-Columbian Peru. The bracelet has a secure fold-over clasp that bears the Coro winged horse mark. Each link is connected by a curled bar of metal, none of which show any signs of stress; the bracelet appears to have been hardly worn. It also has a safety chain with clasp. The bracelet measures 7 ¼ inches long by ¾ inch wide.

An unusual and large necklace by Finnish maker Aarikaa, composed of wooden beads dyed in shades of iridescent brown and green. The drop features large, 23mm beads with decorated with 8mm beads; the necklace portion is composed of 15mm beads. They are connected by wires with ring terminals. There is a hook clasp and metal tag with the mark of Aarikka/Made in Finland. The necklace measures 17 1/4 inches long when clasped, including the drop.

Wide copper band is decorated with an applied brass pre-Columbian-style creature. It is inset with small pieces of abalone. On one side is a discolored area, of about ½ inch square, left from an old label. As the discoloration is on the side, it is not obvious when the cuff is worn. The bracelet measures 2 ½ inches at its widest part and 2 ½ inches across the opening. It has a 7 ½-inch internal circumference.

Formed as hollow cast discs, embossed and chased with elaborate floral designs, and bezel-set with carnelian beads – one of which shows a partial hole to one side. The earrings are secured with working clip backs; the maker’s impressed mark looks like Zuoco or Zocco. The earrings measure 1 ¼ inches in diameter.

Three large openwork panels of pre-Columbian design are linked to vertical elements by well-soldered rings. The clasp is a secure hook and bar, and the hook bears the maker’s mark of MHV, as well as the silver mark of 9.850 and a mark for Mexico. The bracelet measures 7 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. Weight: 55.5 grams

Composed of six sterling concave ovals mounted with amethysts carved as faces. The marks are worn, but could be the Mexican eagle and the conjoined initials of Francisco Rivera. The bracelet is well made with all joints soldered and has a good heft. The amethysts are completely intact and the silver is highly polished. The bracelet measures 6 ½ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 52.9 grams

A classic ‘space-age’ design of a spare, triangular panel with a folded edge and incised, criss-crossed lines. The pin has a secure rollover clasp and is marked VW Fammik, an unidentified maker and retailer. The pin is either Norwegian or Danish. It measures 2 inches long by 1 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 8.1 grams

A link bracelet composed of gilded sterling silver and iridescent green glass. It features four large openwork rosettes, applied to embossed floral frames. The links are well soldered; the box of the clasp is impressed ‘Mexico/Silver.’ The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide.

The earrings are composed of single rosettes of gilded sterling silver and iridescent green glass. The screw backs are marked ‘Mexico/Silver.’ Each earring measures 1 ¼ inches wide.
