The necklace is composed of beaded rings interspersed with eight suspended cast right hands. The earrings, also formed as hands, have working screw backs. Both bear the Los Castillo circular mark and are marked sterling; they also have the design number of 714. The necklace measures 15 ¼ inches long; the hands drop by 1 ½ inches. It weighs 80.8 grams. The earrings measure 1 ¾ inches long and weigh 18.2 grams total.

Designed with multiple thin wire hoops suspended from a curved, shell-like top. When worn, the shells are seen from the side; the full hoops are visible from the front. They exhibit a soft patina, with some wayward dark spots and beads of solder where each hoop has been closed. A Victorian-influenced design of cast raised flower-shaped links with a large, heart-shaped drop. The heart is decorated with matching flowers, flanked by cherubs playing stringed instruments. The reverse of both bracelet and drop bear the mark of Margot de Taxco, for Margot van Voorhies Carr, as well as the eagle mark for Mexican sterling. Composed of curved openwork panels formed as highly stylized bird heads, possibly eagles, with a pre-Columbian influence. The tongue-and-groove clasp is original and very secure for this substantial bracelet. It is bears the circular mark for Pedro Castillo, who worked for Spratling and Aguilar in the 1930s and started his own taller in the 1940s (per Bille Hougart’s ‘Little Book’ of Mexican silver marks, p. 41)...

Three large openwork panels of pre-Columbian design are linked to vertical elements by well-soldered rings. The clasp is a secure hook and bar, and the hook bears the maker’s mark of MHV, as well as the silver mark of 9.850 and a mark for Mexico. The bracelet measures 7 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. Weight: 55.5 grams

Composed of six sterling concave ovals mounted with amethysts carved as faces. The marks are worn, but could be the Mexican eagle and the conjoined initials of Francisco Rivera. The bracelet is well made with all joints soldered and has a good heft. The amethysts are completely intact and the silver is highly polished. A link bracelet composed of gilded sterling silver and iridescent green glass. It features four large openwork rosettes, applied to embossed floral frames. The links are well soldered; the box of the clasp is impressed ‘Mexico/Silver.’ The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide.

The earrings are composed of single rosettes of gilded sterling silver and iridescent green glass. The screw backs are marked ‘Mexico/Silver.’ Each earring measures 1 ¼ inches wide.

Constructed of four flat, interlocking rings. The rollover clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The back bears the maker's mark of a conjoined HT, an unidentified silversmith who also worked with Estela Popowski, as well as independently. There are four other marks on the back: an eagle 20, a Hecho en Mexico mark and two sterling marks. The pin measures 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 14.9 grams

A whimsical pin formed as a fish and decorated with brown guilloche enamel work. The silver has a nice patina, and the enamel is intact, with no cracks or other damage. The rollover clasp is original and in good working order. The back shows a circular Made in Mexico mark with no eagle or maker’s mark. It is marked for (and tests as) sterling silver. The pin measures 2 ¼ inches long. Weight: 4.8 grams
