This colorful bracelet is made of various Scottish agates set in sterling silver bezel mountings, for a total of seven panels. Formed with three knots thickly enameled in cobalt blue. There are two tiny spots of roughness to the enamel in the front knot (see photo); it is very hard to see without magnification. The enamel is stable, showing no further loss. The clever clasp is a combination of a tube and fold-over catch, and very secure. The necklace shows marks for sterling, Gucci and Italy, as well as the Italian silver assay mark for Florence, 1944-1968. It has an inner circumference of about 17 inches...

The pin is constructed of two levels and is bezel-set with an onyx disc and an amber cabochon. The amber has a 1/16-inch-long chip to one side, and some surface roughness. The onyx shows no wear or damage. The original rollover clasp tends to open when not in use, but works very effectively when secured to material. The back bears the mark for sterling and the mushroom mark for modernist jewelry pioneer Sam Kramer. It measures 2 ½ inches long x 2 ¼ inches wide. Gross weight: 33.6 grams

Made from colorful Scottish chalcedonies and set with a warm, orange-brown Scottish citrine, this brooch typifies a design that was extremely fashionable during the Victorian era. All the stones are in lovely condition and securely set; the faceted cairngorm, or citrine, is held in place by sterling silver engraved straps. The red chalcedonies are sharply cut into pyramids, alternating with inset green triangular pieces of agate that look to be bloodstone...

Here is a classic three-stone ring in the Victorian style set with two rubies flanking a diamond. The 18kt scroll mounting is nicely molded, and the stones are secure. The diamond has a visible flaw. The ring is a size 5 1/4, and is marked 18K inside the band.

Hand-worked chain with applied textured silver wire intertwined among bow-like links. It has an attached spring ring clasp, and bears a French silver mark on the jump ring. The clasp is original; the jump ring has been re-positioned to secure the chain; originally, the clasp would have been used to attach a lorgnette, for instance. The chain is probably .800 silver. Unclasped, it measures a little over 55 inches long. Weight: 32.4 grams

A Victorian-influenced design of cast raised flower-shaped links with a large, heart-shaped drop. The heart is decorated with matching flowers, flanked by cherubs playing stringed instruments. The reverse of both bracelet and drop bear the mark of Margot de Taxco, for Margot van Voorhies Carr, as well as the eagle mark for Mexican sterling. This beautifully designed pin was made by Bippart, Griscom & Osborn, one of Newark, N.J.’s premiere jewelry firms. It is formed as a scrolled pinwheel, decorated with green tour-a-guilloche enameling and small pearls. It is made of 14kt gold, and has a hinged pendant bale and watch hook on the back. It is marked with the firm’s torch mark and 14K. It measures about 1 inch in diameter.

Oval, both sides with 14-kt gold backs inset with black mother-of pearl and enhanced with a center seed pearl. The rims are likely platinum. The gold bridge bars are marked for Larter and Sons, Newark, NJ. Each side measures 5/8 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.
