A studio piece, of a geometric lattice-like design set with a dyed blue chalcedony in a secure bezel mounting. The spring-ring clasp is secure and marked 925 for sterling; the oblong panels links by chain also test strongly as silver. The necklace measures 18 inches long, with a 3-inch-long center drop. Decorated with embossed Prince of Wales feathers, with a patinated surface. The bridge bars are marked 800 for silver content. They are securely attached to the buttons and exhibit no metal stress or repairs. Each button measures about ¾ inch by ½ inch. Weight: 6.9 grams total

A charming design, nicely molded and enhanced with oxidation. The eyes are composed of turquoise enamel. The rollover clasp is very secure. The pin is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling silver. It measures 1 ½ inches long by 1 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 11.6 grams

Formed from molten silver, mounted with a disc picturing a classical woman’s profile. The ring has a dramatic, primitive look. The ring is unmarked, but the ring and the disc test strongly for silver. The top measures about 1 inch wide. It is sized to 11 ½. Weight: 40.4 grams

Composed of various-sized, linked rectangular hammered panels. The secure closure comprises a folded panel that nicely hooks into an opening on the other end. There are partially obscured marks for sterling as well as the maker, which appears to be a script L with a copyright. The bracelet measures 7 1/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Nicely ridged with a dark patina, a particularly graceful piece in this series by North Carolina silversmith Stuart Nye. The Nye and sterling marks on the back are partially worn off, as is a patent number. The rollover clasp is secure and is of a vintage design original to the piece, which is highly tarnished. The pin measures 2 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches. Weight: 6.1 grams

Composed of gilded sterling filigree, the pin exhibits a gilded rollover clasp of good quality, probably added to replace a C-clasp but contemporary to the period. The stone shows no wear or scratching; one band of filigree is highly oxidized, possibly for contrast. The pin measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 ½ inches wide.

An abstract design, the pendant is set with what appears to be blue indicolite, which is a type of tourmaline, or blue jade. It is marked sterling on the reverse. The chain is composed of linked sterling edged rods, and is marked Italy and sterling on the flattened jump ring. One rod is slightly bent. The entire clasped necklace measures 18 inches long; the pendant is 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide.

Of modernist design, both cast and hand-forged and composed of two flat sides terminating in hollowed ends, one with a protruding side. The tongue-and-groove clasp is in good working order. The bracelet exhibits some signs of wear, such as scratches and tiny dings to the edges. The very tip of the protrusion has a tiny dent. There are two different marks on the outer side (one is struck twice) that look to be foreign but are unidentified...

Set with chrysoprase cabochons; they are nicely polished, oval in shape, without any sign of wear. They are securely set in bezel mounts. The bridge bars are marked sterling and appear well soldered and secure, without any repairs or metal stress. Each button measures 1/2 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.

One side oval, the other oblong; both sides are marked sterling. The bridge links are secure and the abalone is in nice condition, with no cracks or chips. The longer side measures ¾ inch long, the other measures ½ inch long.

Known as the ‘caviar’ design, it is composed of linked domed beads and has a smooth, undulant movement and a good heft. The tongue-and-groove clasp is in excellent working condition and bears the Spratling mark for 1944-1946. The surface exhibits a nice, soft patina from age. The bracelet measures 8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 55.7 grams
