Each earring formed as a wing, set with a pearl. The silver has a warm patina from age. The clip backs are secure and original to the earrings. The backs exhibit the Mikimoto clamshell mark as well as 950 for silver content and CPO in a lozenge. Each earring measures 1 ¼ inches long by 3/8 inch at its widest area.

A nice studio piece cast as a stylized leaf that hugs the finger, regardless of which way it is worn. The ring has a warm patina from age. The rounded band bears the maker’s mark of A. Duclos, with other unidentifiable marks that may indicate country. It is a size 6 ½. Weight: 16.3 grams

White guilloche enamel work is surrounded by gray-blue borders and features a gray-blue center. The enamel shows no wear; there is a tiny discolored spot on one button that is hardly noticeable. Each measures about 1/2 inch square; the back of one button is marked sterling. They are probably American. Weight: 6.3 grams total

Composed of four eight-sided panels, featuring colorful Nordic scenes, alternating with blue and black enameled rectangular panels. The silver is gilded; the tongue-and-groove clasp is very secure. The clasp bears the mark of Bernard Meldahl, Oslo, Norway, the sterling mark and ‘Norge,’ which means ‘Norway.’ The bracelet measures 6 ½ inches long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 19.3 grams

These earrings are composed of cutout stick-like stylized figures. They are very light weight and have a matte surface. They are not marked, but test strongly for sterling silver. They have been converted from screw backs to posts. Each measures about 1 7/8 inches long. Gross weight: 5.2 grams

Set in sterling silver with faceted amethysts and citrine, and pearls, enhanced with oxidation, all in imitation of Renaissance Revival pieces made during the early 20th century. It is most likely American-made; the maker’s mark is unidentified. The substantial bale also bears a 925 for silver content, an import mark for Birmingham, England, and the London date letter for 1992. The pendant measures 2 3/8 inches long (including the bale) and 2 inches wide.

Gracefully formed as a stylized bird, enameled in shades of blue and green. The enamel shows no chips or cracks; the rollover clasp is in good working condition. The pin bears the mark of Graziella Laffi, with a mark for sterling silver. It measures 1 1/8 inches by 1 ½ inches. Weight: 7.9 grams

The pendant is composed of hollow construction, with a sharply molded flower border and hammered center. It is probably Danish, and is marked 800 on the back to indicate silver content. There is a tiny hole in one of the flower centers, as shown in the photos. The pendant measures 2 inches long, not including the bale, and 1 ½ inches wide. Weight: 9.1 grams

Handmade, composed of various sizes of spheres to form a starburst. The ring bears the mark of Erik Granit, of Helsinki, Finland, as well as the Finnish sterling and date marks. The ring top measures 1 inch across; the ring is a size 5 scant. Weight: 6.8 grams

The stone looks to be some sort of quartz or iolite, commonly found in pre-1950 Mexican jewelry. It is set in a pointed surround, enhanced with inset oxidation. The entire setting measures about 1 ¼ inches across. The ring is marked Silver Mexico and is a size 6 ½ full.

Rosette-shaped, with extensive white metal wirework on the front. There is a secure C-clasp on the back, as well as a hinged bale for wear as a pendant. The piece is probably Chinese. It is marked Hand Made on the back and measures 2 1/8 inches in diameter. Weight: 25.6 grams

A larger version of this modernist designer’s signature flexible bracelet with wound wire terminals that squeezes open to slip easily over the hand. It was probably made for a man, though it’s appropriate for a woman also, depending on wrist size. The bracelet is composed of hand-forged wire and is quite substantial. It features an 8-inch inner circumference, in its resting state. Weight: 30.4 grams
