This late-19th century sterling silver bangle bracelet exhibits the quality tool work of many of the New York and Newark, NJ, bench jewelers of the late 19th century. The bangle is hollow, but sturdy enough to withstand the hand chasing of the twisted surface. It bears the maker’s mark of George W. Heath, New York (later Newark), as well as a sterling mark. There are a few very minor indentations in the surface (some are in photo #3), but nothing that compromises the structural integrity or beauty of the piece. The bracelet has an inside diameter of 2 3/8 inches, and an inside circumference of about 7 1/4 inches. Weight: 16.8 grams
