Circa 1900. High karat gold (tested 20k). Continental, possibly Swiss, French or Northern Italian. This one of a kind Gothic Revival shield form brooch features an interlocking Fleur-de-Lys motif along with hammered bosses and a floral center. Completely hand formed, the Medieval look is enhanced with natural cultured pearls and a table cut diamond used as accents. A rare example of the gothic influence on the Arts and Crafts movement in jewelry, it is in excellent condition. SIZE: 1 7/8" round diameter. WEIGHT: 15.7gms.
