Vintage jewelry. Circa 1950s. 18K, Swiss. This innovative modernist ring has a 50s futuristic vibe. The form is redolent of a molecule or snowflake both popular motifs in the post modern vernacular. In the 1950s Swiss jewelers embraced modern style with verve and high technical skill. They left a legacy of particularly unique and well made pieces. This ring is completely hand fabricated and set with beautiful Cornflower Blue Sapphires and white diamonds. It is in excellent condition. HALLMARKS: 750 for 18k. Makers mark G in a diamond shaped cartouche found only on the matching necklace SIZE: Currently size 7, it can be sized. WEIGHT: 7.1g. STONES: Center stone diamonds are 1.26ct each, G color SI3 clarity, European cut. Accent diamonds are .36ct total weight, I color, SI1 clarity, modern brilliant cut.
