Antique jewelry. Circa 1870s, Continental, 14k. A texturally complex period example, this large Victorian brooch features six layers of detail with sprays of leaves, flowers, enamel work, turquoise, pearls, an articulated grill work bib, and finally, dangling festoons, etc. This is a wonderfully profuse piece of Victorian jewelry. Good condition with older restorations, slight enamel losses noted. HALLMARKS: None noted, tested 14k. SIZE: Brooch/Pendant is 3 1/4" long x 1 3/8" wide. WEIGHT: 16.6g.
