A Fine Scandinavian Signed Stoneware Bowl Ht. 6 3/4 ins. (17.2 cms) Diam. (without lugs) 10 ins. (25.3 cms) Although this fine and impressive piece is completely outside our field of expertise it is almost certainly Scandinavian, probably Swedish or Danish. We have been unable to identify the mark and are not able to state an age although its Art Deco aspects would seem to place it in the 1930s...

A Large Chinese Naked Woman Wooden Acupucture Map Figure. 20th. Century Ht. 31 ins. (78.8 cms) Although this wonderful figure has a serious purpose in training acupuncturists it is also a fine and attractive piece of folk art. An Interesting Signed & Dated Tin-Glazed Pottery Figure. Probably German or Austrian Secessionist. 1938. Ht. 11 3/8 ins. (28.9 cms) This charming figure with its flowing drapes is very reminiscent of the work of the Viennese Secessionist artists of the 20s and 30s. Unfortunately we have been unable to identify the artist's monogram, I think we may assume that the "38" is 1938. The condition is perfect with no damage and no repairs.

Rare Earthenware Jar Attributed to Michael Cardew. Leach Pottery 1920s

This jar dates from the earliest phase of the Bernard Leach Pottery at St. Ives when Leach was working with Michael Cardew and Shoji Hamada. The pots made at that time did not always have the individual maker's seal. Cardew is said to have been the most accomplished thrower at the pottery at the time and the present example is very well thrown with a typical Cardew foot and lip...
