This small pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). The horse stands alert, with its head turned slightly to its left, on an integral openwork base. Height 16.5 cm, length 17 cm. There is minor surface wear but no sign of repair or restoration; very good condition.
