Tall Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse (AD 618 - 906)
This large pottery saddled horse dates to the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments. The horse stands upright with its head turned to its left. Height 39 cm (15.25 inches).
