Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Jarlet This small porcelain jar was made during the 15th - 16th centuries. The underglaze blue decoration comprises floral patterns to the body and a band of "Rui" lappets around the shoulder. Interestingly, this jarlet was excavated from a land site in Cambodia. The crackled glaze is a little stained due to its long burial. The three small unglazed areas around the base are where the potter held the jar upside down in his fingers and dipped it into the glaze, prior to firing. Diameter 6.5 cm. Height 6 cm. No repair or restoration. *** TO ORDER THIS ITEM PLEASE EMAIL US QUOTING OUR STOCK NUMBER (see above) - WE SHALL THEN EMAIL YOU BACK WITH POSTAGE COSTS AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS *** *** FOR FULL DETAILS OF OUR GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT OPTIONS, PLEASE CLICK ON "Buying from us - All you need to know" ON OUR HOME PAGE *** |
