Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Ming Mark
This blue & white porcelain bowl was made during the 16th century. It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a thick glaze, save for most of the foot that has fired to a bright orange colour. The underglaze blue decoration to the outer wall features three Shou characters ("longevity") interspersed with swastikas. To the centre of the bowl is a Ming Dynasty mark.
Diameter 12 cm (4.75 inches). There are three small chips to the rim edge, but this bowl has no restoration or repair and has a good ring when tapped.
