Japanese Stoneware Tamba Tokkuri (Sake Bottle) Meiji Period

Ht. 7 3/8 ins. (18.7 cms) This attractive tokkuri is a product of the traditional Tamba mingei pottery kilns in Hyogo province. The condition is very good with no damage and no repairs. There is a short firing fissure inside the top of the neck which doe not penetrate to the outside. It dates from the Meiji Period 1868-1912.
