Thai 14th - 15th Century Celadon Glazed Stoneware Jarlet
This small and heavily-potted stoneware jar was made during the 14th - 15th centuries at one of the Sawankhalok kilns. Both upper and lower parts of the body have particularly pronounced carved decoration. It is coated in a finely-crackled pale blueish-green glaze that has worn through at the mouth edge and highlights of the carved pattern. The flat base remains unglazed and shows faint cord marks.
Height 8 cm (3 inches). No repair or restoration.
