Six Chinese Western Han Dynasty Gilded Bronze Fittings
These six small gilded bronze fittings were made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8) or possibly a little earlier. Each has a small hook, a lobed head and is hollow suggesting they were the finials to something that would have been inserted into them. More of the gilding could be revealed with careful removal of some of the malachite and cuprite surface deposits, but we leave the decision of whether or not to do this to the eventual purchaser. The length of each is 3.3 to 3.4 cm. Comes with a small Perspex custom-made display stand.
