Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Longquan Celadon Bowl
This fine and attractively-shaped bowl was made during the 13th - 14th century most likely at one of the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It is heavily-potted and coated in a green glaze of good colour. There is a line of glaze crackle to the inner surface that does not penetrate the body. The outer wall is decorated with a repeating carved leaf pattern, whilst the inner surface is decorated with an incised lotus scroll. The foot rim is square cut with the recessed base remaining unglazed, revealing the pale grey porcelaneous body.
Diameter 15 cm. It is in fine condition with no repair or restoration and good high-pitched ring when tapped.
