Khmer 11th - 12th Century Glazed & Incised Stoneware Jarlet
This jarlet of globular from was made around the late 11th - mid 12th century. The body and neck are decorated with incised patterns and lines. It is coated in a finely-crackled dark brown glaze that has, as is typical, degraded and flaked a little from the surface in place. The glaze stops short of the foot that remains unglazed.
Height 5.5 cm. It really is very difficult to be sure, even using a magnifying lass, but it is possible the edge of the mouth has been repaired.
