Small Vietnamese 15th Century Blue & White Pear-shaped Bottle
This attractively-shaped little bottle vase was made during the mid 15th century. It has a ribbed body and is decorated with scrolling leaf patterns in underglaze blue. The glaze is finely-crackled. It has been suggested that jars of this small size were possibly used as water droppers. Height 6.5 cm. It is in good condition with no restoration or repair.
This is from a private Cambodian collection of nice quality Vietnamese 15th century blue & white ceramics we have recently acquired.
