This porcelain bowl was made during the mid to late 16th century, c.1560 - 1590. The underglaze blue decoration on both the inner and outer surfaces features stylised dragons. To the base is a seal mark.
This bowl is a little larger than some other similar examples, with a diameter of 14.25 cm (5.5 inches). There are a couple of tiny chips to the rim edge but no repair or restoration and a good ring when tapped.
