Chinese Ming Dynasty Monochrome Blue Porcelain Bottle - Wanli
This rare bottle vase was made during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It is heavily-potted and coated in a thick blue glaze, save for the recessed base which is coated in a clear glaze. The neck has been broken, the break appearing to consist of several breaks as though pieces were broken off on purpose. Interestingly, this bottle was excavated in Cambodia and the surface wear suggests it has seen much use during its lifetime.
Height 19.5 cm (7.75 inches). Although it has obvious damage and loss, this bottle has no restoration or repair.
