Gaddang beaded carabao horn comb

A woman’s beaded comb of carabao (water buffalo) horn from the Gaddang people of northern Luzon, Philippines circa the 1950s. Made of carabao horn, the comb’s unevenly carved teeth indicate the hands of a tribal artisan. Small globular mostly white glass bead dangles, cylindrical and multi-colored bigger globular beads arranged in two rows, and yellow and red threads adorn the comb. Measuring about three inches along the base, four inches on top and two inches high, the horn comb is in very good-excellent condition.
