Hand made 14k and sterling modernist ring, c.1960's. Intriguing design, there is a thick piece of 14k added to the silver ring. It is signed "14K STERLING" and is in excellent condition. As usual, one can turn the pin in several directions trying to find the "correct" position - is it a fish wriggling through the water, or a profile with a pony tail, or should we not ask these questions? Rare handmade large scale sterling cuff by the famous NYC modernist, Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1945. Original design combining flat silver outlined in decorative thick silver wire. It is signed "LOBEL STERLING" and is in excellent condition. Of good size, it measures 1 1/2" wide and the inside circumference is 6 1/2" and will fit a medium wrist. Modernist 4-piece sterling set including necklace, bracelet, earrings, and pin by Sigi, Mexico, c.1950's. The design is made of concave twisted bows of oxydized silver surrounded by a border of shiny silver. The NECKLACE measures 17" around(closed) and each of the 9 links measures 1 3/4" by 1/2" wide. RARE OFFERING:Presented for sale is a historic place card holder for James Hagerty at a meeting between President Eisenhower and Lopez Mateos in the Hotel El Mirador on Feb.19,1959, hand made by Los Castillo, Mexico,1959. Hagerty was the Press Secretary for Pres. Eisenhower. The placard reads:"CENA PRESIDENTES LOPEZ MATEOS-EISENHOWER EN EL HOTEL EL MIRADOR ACAPULCO,GRO. 2-19-59 SR.JAMES C.HAGERTY". Signed, "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO" on the bottom, the piece is in excellent condition...
