Early period art deco metal jewelry clip of black man's face, c.1920's. He is wearing a white painted handkerchief on his head which has the tied ends hanging down next to a brass earring. He shows the attitude of the times with "nappy" hair, large painted whites of the eyes, and a smiling painted red mouth and white teeth. Made of heavy gauge metal. Back is missing one of the two clip prongs - but is works fine...

The paper packaging has drawings of toys in primary colors and it says "Made in West Germany" (also in French and Spanish). The cat measures 5" tall by 6 1/4" wide.
