This is a very rare and highly desirable Changsha kiln 9th century Tang Dynasty bird figurine. Usually these are characterized by such components such as under-glazed yelow-brownish and green motifs with molded design in relief, appliqué designs or impressed designs in relief and also incised or carved designs. A Changsha bowl was painted in the cavetto with motif of bird and water weeds. Maneuvered by deft brush strokes, the picture was vividly rendered with simple lines. The bowl was heavily potted and was revealed with rough-feel body clay underside. The characteristic disk-like foot ring was well shaped. It was applied with white lining paint before dipping into to the brownish pigment and commencing the picture.Tang Dynasty (9th Century). A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated around the center with stylized archaistic dragons encircling a central roundel of a lotus flower, a band of key-fret pattern around the foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. Rare Ming dynasty longquan celadon large lantern vase, rounded side with barrel shape and unglazed foot ring, celadon vase decorated with carved chrysanthemum flower motif, vertical leaf on the neck and ribbing on the lower part, flower and cross motif at the belly, covered with nice green tone celadon glaze. Vase is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration but a glaze line on the body. Size: 34 cm height.
