| This brooch is a sophisticated, yet understated piece of miniature sculpture and a fine example of the Mid-Century Wearable Art Movement. It was made by the artist, Paul Lobel, in his Greenwich Village studio in New York City in the 1950’s. It is marked “LOBEL Sterling”. As with the best of Lobel’s designs this piece has a snap that sets it apart. The piece is in excellent condition. The dimensions are 1 ¾ x 1 ¼ inches or 44mm x 32mm. The weight is 10.4 gms or .33 troy ounces. | |||||
