Rare example of whisky flask fashioned as a book with faux grained leather. Sides are of actual marbelized paper to appear as if upon a fine, leatherbound book. Top corner pivots off to reveal a pour spout. Embossed with a gilded title, "A Pleasant Surprise," by "Asprey." Ideally suited for a writer as well as a collector of fine flasks. Made by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield for Asprey, circa 1920's. 7/8" D., 4 1/8" W., 5 1/2" H.
