Dutch decorated “ Cherry Pickers” Chinese porcelain bowl enamelled with European figure subjects of a man and woman seated with a basket of fruit, a lady singing from music, a man climbing a ladder to pick cherries and a confronting pair of birds, the interior with a flower basket. Diameter: 15.0 cm. 1735-45.

Slight rubbing in one area. No damage.

A very attractive Kashmir lacquer quatrefoil tray decorated with an elaborate textile-inspired design with golden flowerheads. Dimensions: 42.0 cm. square. 19th cent.

One area of loss on the upper surface, another on the plain green base.

A square section Chinese bronze vase with dragon-head handles and traces of gilding . Height: 24.0 cm. 17th cent.

No damage. The base of the vase seems to have been filled with composition a long time ago.

A cut down Chinese porcelain rouleau vase,incised under the glaze and attractively decorated in Holland in enamels with a lady in a pavilion surrounded by birds and flowers. The porcelain Kangxi, the decoration 18th cent. Height: 22.3cm.

Neck cut down, 0.5cm. hairline crack at the neck (see detail). Some spotted discolouration under the glaze.

A tall blanc de chine Guanyin with a serene expression, standing and wearing a tiara, with hands folded. Height: 45.9 cm. 18th cent.

Chips to fingers and tiaras. Chip and crack to cowl. Her right hand sleeve has been polished back to remove a chip. Small polished area to underside of cape. Firing crack. No other damage.

A spinach jade vase and cover carved with an archaistic phoenix supporting a baluster jar with ring handles (one missing). Height (excl. stand): 14.5 cm. 19th cent.

The vase has a fitted stand. One handle and its associated ring have been broken off. No other damage.

An interesting Chinese bronze fangding damascened in silver with an allover swastika diaper pattern within a leiwen and spiral geometric border, the base inlaid with a four-character hallmark. Qianlong (1736-95). Height: 17 cm.; length: 14.9cm.

Scratching to base. The legs of the fangding are probably later replacements, solidly mounted, three out of four being inlaid with silver wire. No other damage.

A heavy Tibetan brass teapot with an elaborate dragon-form handle and makara spout with applied panels of mythical beasts and a lotus-form cover with scrolling border. Height: 25.8 cm.; length: 24.0 cm. Nineteenth century.

No damage. The lids of such teapots are often connected to the body by a chain, which is missing here. The spur on the back of the dragon handle was probably appoint of attachment for this.

A celadon ground Straits Chinese offering bowl with a wavy rim imitating a lotus leaf and decorated in enamels with flowers and insects. Four-character red enamel mark inscribed on the base. Length: 27.3 cm. c. 1900.

Two small rim chips and minor fritting. No other damage. The bowl is accompanied by a sturdy fitted oval hardwood stand in good condition (some minor cracks as indicated).
