An attractive ivory figure of Queen Charlotte from a Chinese export ivory chess set, her hair swept up and dressed in Empire style, wearing a high-waisted dress and jacket and holding an orb and a handkerchief. Height: 10.5 cm. Early 19th cent.
A miniature Japanese Arita double gourd vase decorated with a scrolling floral design in iron-red, yellow and green enamels, the neck slightly reduced and fitted with a white metal stopper to allow its use as a flacon. Height: 6.1 cm. Eighteenth century.
A small Chinese porcelain bottle vase with a silver mounted neck decorated with a pattern of pendant lappets and banana leaves in underglaze blue. Underglaze blue yu mark to base. Height: 13 cm. Kangxi (1662-1722).
The silver collar is a European repair. No other damage.
A rare European subject famille rose cup and saucer enamelled with a design of figures and buffalo, evidently copying a European engraving. Ht. of cup: 6.5 cm.; diameter of saucer: 12.0 cm. Qianlong (1736-95).
One minute flake of enamel loss. No other faults.
