Dutch decorated “ Cherry Pickers” Chinese porcelain bowl enamelled with European figure subjects of a man and woman seated with a basket of fruit, a lady singing from music, a man climbing a ladder to pick cherries and a confronting pair of birds, the interior with a flower basket. Diameter: 15.0 cm. 1735-45.

Slight rubbing in one area. No damage.

No damage. The base of the vase seems to have been filled with composition a long time ago.

A tall blanc de chine Guanyin with a serene expression, standing and wearing a tiara, with hands folded. Height: 45.9 cm. 18th cent.

Chips to fingers and tiaras. Chip and crack to cowl. Her right hand sleeve has been polished back to remove a chip. Small polished area to underside of cape. Firing crack. No other damage.

An unusual small Chinese export octagonal platter decorated in underglaze blue and famille rose enamels with a lady punting, a leaping fish and in the background a castellated wharf with a mosque. Length: 26.2 cm. Qianlong, c. 1780.

Rim chip at lower right. No other faults.

Such mosques are said to be typical of the Coromandel coast of India ...click for details

A small celadon jade carving of a duck holding a lotus plant in its beak, the stone with black inclusions. Length: 5.4 cm. 17th cent.

Chip to tip of beak and another to the leaf just beneath the tail on the right hand side. There is also a damage to the left wing, probably along an existing fault line and probably another to the rear of the crest.

Staining and losses to reverse of mirror glass. No damage.
